Although the medical staff is experienced in dealing with epidemics, the nursing staff and clinics are completely overloaded. But Covid-19 has triggered a lot that will continue after the pandemic, says infection medicine specialist Papa Salif Sow from Dakar, the capital of Senegal. New strategies are being implemented which allow patients to receive their medication for six months instead of just one month. Telehealth approaches also try to close treatment gaps.

Wade and WMACA‚ which played an instrumental role in the conviction of disgraced tennis legend Bob Hewitt‚ have been critical of how Swimming SA president Alan Fritz has handled the matter.

Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala offers WTO global and local experience: The global economy faces profound uncertainties, particularly in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic. In addition, faith in the efficacy of international bodies such as the World Trade Organization (WTO) has been weakened by a power struggle between China and the US. As the process for appointing a new head of the organization moves into its final phase, it’s worth considering what front runner Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala could bring to the complex role of managing an international organization, including designing and implementing reforms.
